Goals for the week

Disciplined Diet

Check. Had a week of eating very clean, without caffeine or sugar. Have felt fantastic.

Race Shoe Trial

I did an over-under session this week with race shoes.

This run went brilliantly. The paces were so much quicker than previous weeks, attributed partly to shoes but also to rest and taper.

The run gave me massive confidence for race day.

Thoughts

The gels are my big worry. My digestion of them has gone backward. I’m going into Sunday with no confidence that I can get them down. That’s not stress I need, but I do have a few things I can try on race day. Let’s see.

I’m excited. It’s race week now. I’ve dreamed about this for so long. It’s nearly here.

One way or another, I am going to run London Marathon. Fast or slow, I will cross that line.
